Arlington Cemetery
The JFK grave site is probably the most popular “attraction” in the cemetery. Every day, especially on weekends, Washington sightseeing tour buses bring in a never ending supply of Americans paying their respects. The crowd, though large and numerous, is controlled and orderly. The atmosphere is somber, occasionally interrupted by kids running around.

Right adjacent to the JFK grave site is the new grave site of Senator Ted Kennedy, and that of Robert Kennedy. Teddy Kennedy was buried here about two weeks ago. This grave site, like his simple wood casket, is a modest one, showing the family’s believe in serving the people, for the people.

About a quarter of a mile walk from the JFK grave site is the Tomb of the Unknowns Memorial. An honor guard, officially referred to as the tomb guard sentinel, stands guard 24 hours a day. There is a guard change walk every 30 minutes during summer and winter months.
